Lithium Greases

A Lubricant Grease is a solid or semisolid lubricant formed as a dispersion of thickening agents in a liquid lubricant. Grease generally consists of a soap emulsified with mineral or vegetable oil.

What Is Grease?

A common feature of Lubricant greases is that they possess a high initial viscosity, which upon the application of shear, drops to give the effect of an oil-lubricated bearing of approximately the same
viscosity as the base oil used in the grease.

What Are the Uses of  Lubricant Grease?

Lubricant Grease is sometimes used to describe lubricating materials that are simply soft solids or high-viscosity liquids, but these materials do not exhibit the shear-thinning properties characteristic of classical grease.

"Greases are applied to mechanisms or Machines that can be lubricated only infrequently and where a lubricating oil would not stay in position. They also act as sealants to prevent the ingress of water and incompressible materials. Grease bearings have greater frictional characteristics because of their high viscosity."

What Are the Properties of Lubricant Greases?

1-A true Lubricant grease consists of an oil and other fluids lubricant that is mixed with a thickener, typically a soap, to form a solid or semisolid and Oils.
2-Greases Lubricants are usually shear-thinning or pseudo-plastic fluids, which means that the viscosity of the fluid is reduced under shear.
3-It is often applied using a grease gun, which applies the grease to the part being lubricated under pressure, forcing the solid grease into the spaces in the part.

What are the types of Greases?

1-Silicone grease
2-Fluoroether-based grease
3-Laboratory Grease
4-Watersoluble grease
5-Cork Grease

Lithium Grease

What is Silicone Grease?

Silicone grease is a type of lubricant that is made from silicone oil and a thickening agent. It is often used as a lubricant and sealant for a variety of applications, including in automotive and mechanical systems, as well as in electrical and electronic equipment.

What is Fluoroether-based Grease?

Fluoroether-based grease is a type of lubricant that is made from fluoro ethers, which are a class of synthetic fluids that are chemically similar to mineral oils but have much better thermal and chemical stability.

What is Laboratory Grease?

Laboratory grease is a type of lubricant that is specifically designed for use in laboratory equipment and other scientific instruments. These greases are typically made from high-quality, pure ingredients that provide excellent lubrication and protection against wear and tear.
